Music

Joshua has been a musician since he was old enough to pee standing up. Possibly before. He’s played in several bands in different genres ranging from Funk-Metal to Punkgrass. Joshua is currently recording a series of covers and originals using only the basic microphone that came with his computer and the freeware sound editing software Audacity.
Here’s some highlights from his many projects.

BoSoZoKu

The Funk-Punk-Geek Rock-Metal Fusion band was all the rage in mid 90′s East Pittsburgh. The band played shows all across the city and in some severely fucked up holes in the wall. They released a self-titled tape, before disbanding in 1997 when Josh buggered off to college.

The Sheriff and The Shoe Band

A jug band punk rock fusion, TSATSB was the alcohol fueled roots music dance party of the late 90′s Boston music scene. Well, if you hung out in the dorms of Emerson College anyways. The band performed in a few spots around Boston, but mostly could be found inebriated in the bathroom of Josh’s dorm room.

Solo

In 2001, Joshua recorded an EP of songs with a small backing band produced by Brian Dawson and recorded at Emerson College’s WERS Studios. The album was never released, despite being kick ass.

DEMO 2006

After a five year hiatus, Joshua begas recording these one man band style recordings. Focusing initially on covers of beloved 80′s and 90′s songs, this is a whole new phase of work for Joshua, and hopefully the start of more things to come.
