Hey guys,
Just a quick note to confirm what everyone knows, I am no longer the writer of GLC and Red Lanterns for DC Comics. There were editorial decisions about the direction of the book that conflicted with the story I was hired to tell, and I felt that it was better to let DC tell their story the way they want. I’m grateful for the opportunity and I’ll miss working with the entire Green Lantern team.
This was not an easy decision to make emotionally or financially, but, I’m sure it was the right decision for both me, and for the Green Lantern books. The outpouring of support, your kind words and well wishes means so much to me and my family.
In the meantime, I’ll be writing ALPHA: BIG TIME and THE ULTIMATES over at Marvel, and THE DEVILLERS at Dynamite. I’ve got a couple more projects in the works, so stay tuned.
Thanks again,
j.

It’s sad because you sounded so into the story on the Comicvine podcast. I normally don’t pick up either, but was gonna to check out your story. Its a shame, but if its the right move for you, then you’ve gotta do it.
Look forward to what you’ve got coming up dude

I’m pretty new to the whole comic book scene and I, Vampire was one of the first books I picked up (last summer). I was really sad to see it go, but excited that you were going to leave your mark on a couple of Green Lantern books – a series I’ve really gotten into recently. Then this happens. It’s sad because you would (probably, I should say) have made those books awesome. Or at the very least; really fucking cool. (I’d have settled for a readable Red Lanterns)
Still, Alpha has been fun so far. I’ve tried to get into Ultimates (wasn’t crazy about any of the last two runs – though I usually love Hickman) but I might check out #25 seeing as you won’t dance around with Gardner for very long / at all.
I’m excited to continue to follow your career. Keep up the good work!
As a fan of I, Vampire I was happy to see you move on to the GLC and Red Lanterns. This current news therefore pisses me off. Glad to see you are writing other titles though. I will probably be dropping GLC after the current arc is done, and would be using the money I would be paying for that title (as well as the money I would have paid for your Red Lanterns title) to rather buy Ultimates and Devillers.
